Adeline L. (Kulkee) Gebhard

Adeline L. Gebhard of Hustisford passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the age of 89 years.  She was born January 25, 1928 in Hustisford, the daughters of Henry and Minnie (nee Schuette) Kulkee.  Adeline married Fritz Gebhard on August 21, 1948.  She loved to work with children and was foster mother to four children.  Adeline was a very caring person and enjoyed meeting people,  and felt very comfortable talking to people she didn’t know.  She was a member of the Hustisford Historical Society and worked with Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church Ladies’ Aid for many years.  When she was at Touchstone Assisted Living, she reached out to residents and visitors at the care center and befriended them.  Adeline enjoyed cats and over the years had many feline friends.  

She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Gary) Krueger of Hustisford, Hayley (Lon) Ganther of Butler, her grandson Justin (Mary) Krueger of Juneau and great-grandchildren Jillian and Emily Krueger, and Jordan Hundt, and two step great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Erica Kirchoff, and her brother Nordien Kulkee, and   sister-in-law Lorraine Kulke.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Fritz, who died in 2013, her son, Gary, her brother, Gerhardt Kulke, and her sister-in-law Lorena Kulkee.

Visitation is Saturday, March 18th from 9-11 a.m. at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church.  Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Church.  Rev. Jonathan Loescher will officiate.  Interment Hustisford Cemetery.  Memorials to the family would be appreciated.  The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home-Hustisford is serving the family.
