Donald (Don) K. Strobel of Juneau passed away on Monday January 25, 2016 at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born February 2, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI. Don was employed by the Dodge County Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator for 40 years. He was a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ in Juneau where he served on the church consistory, a member of the Marshhaven Nature Center, a volunteer at church and Bethesda Lutheran Home. He enjoyed traveling on many bus tours with his wife, being with family, sports, and car shows.
Survivors are his wife Jane of Juneau, one daughter Jan (Butch) Yager of Minnetonka MN, two granddaughters, Laurie (Paul) Andersen of Iowa, and Jacalyn (Rob) Laketa-Kreatz of MN, three great-grandchildren Sade Grant, MN, Marissa & Ashlee Andersen, of IA, and a sister June Kelm Milwaukee, WI. Don is preceded in death by this mother Martha, a son Daniel, and a grandson Nicholas, and a brother-in-law Dean Priebush.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home 150 W. Oak Street, Juneau, WI. Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Rev. Carrie Schuett will officiate.
