Lorina M. (Fredrick) Kulkee

Lebanon – Lorina M. Kulkee, age 94, was peacefully called to her eternal home on November 22, 2016 while at Clearview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Juneau.

Lorina was born on April 24, 1922 in Lebanon, WI, the daughter of August and Emma (Uttech) Fredrick.

Lorina was married to Nordien Kulkee for over 74 years.  They were married on December 20, 1941 at her parents home in Lebanon. 

Lorina always wanted to marry a farmer, which she did and she enjoyed being a farmer’s wife for over 50  years as they lived on their family farm in Lebanon since 1955.   Lorina was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hustisford since 1941 and for many years served on the Ladies Aid committee.  Lorina enjoyed baking and enjoyed giving those baked treats as gifts to many friends and family members over the years.  She enjoyed bullhead fishing, and playing Sheepshead with Nordien as they were in a card club together.  While on the farm, Lorina always had a garden and enjoyed tending to her flowers and produce she grew.

Lorina is survived by her husband, Nordien of Juneau; three children, Linda (Art) Hilker of Janesville, James (Barbara) Kulkee of Lebanon and Christine (Patrick) Koehler of Watertown; 10 grandchildren, Karl (Lisa) Hilker of Waunakee, Katrina (Scott) Pearson of Green Bay, Kent Hilker of Janesville, Tina (Luke) Krause of Beaver Dam, Trisha (Kyle) Sippel of Lebanon, Tiffany (Jason) Pekul of Janesville, Thomas (Jamie) Kulkee of Lebanon, Monica (Jeremy) Hepp of Johnson Creek, Joshua Koehler of Watertown and Jesse Koehler of Berkley, California and 19 great grandchildren.

Lorina was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and sisters and two great grandchildren, Raina Pekul and Mikaylaa Krause.

Memorials can be made in Lorina’s memory to the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hustisford.

Funeral services will be held at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 269 North Lake Street, Hustisford WI on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

A visitation will also be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of service.  Burial will conclude at Hustisford Cemetery.
