Ofilia P. Perales

of Hartford was surrounded by her children, and grandchildren when she was Born to Eternal Life Friday, May 5, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Ofilia was an amazing woman.  She was deeply loved, and honored by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She was an advocate for the people in the Hispanic community, and she never turned her back on anyone.  She was considered a pillar of St. Killian’s Catholic Church. 

 She is survived by her loving children Dora (Israel) Acosta of Milwaukee, Peter Perales of Milwaukee, Xavier Perales of Florida, Vickie (James) Nelson of Pardeville, Chris (Ron) Mantz of Hubertus,  9 Grandchildren Jessica (Sean) Chou of Illinois, Lincoln Nelson of Missouri, Kristian (Jill) Perales of West Bend, Elizabeth (Andrew) Storey of Michigan, Noah Nelson of Minnesota, Caleb Perales of Florida, Jordan & Holdan Mantz of Richfield, and Israel Acosta of Milwaukee, 9 Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family in Texas.  She is preceded in death by her husband Pedro, in 2012, her daughter Beatrice in 2001, two sisters and one brother, and two infant children Pedro & Ofilia. 

Visitation is Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home 226 S. Main Street, Hartford. Parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Family will receive relatives and friends for morning prayers Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:40 a.m. at the Funeral Home.  Processing to St. Kilian’s Catholic Church for Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Fr. David LaPlante will officiate.   Internment St. Killian’s Church Cemetery Hartford.
