Virginia Lea (nee Averill) Miller

Virginia Lea Miller (Ginny) passed away peacefully at her home on 4-11-2024 at the age of 76 years. She was born daughter of Vincent and Celia Averill (May).  Virginia (Averill) married her husband of 56 years, Merle Miller on 11-11-1967. Their son Joel Miller was born 3 years later on October 24th 1970.

Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and great aunt. Family was most important to her. From her husband, son and grandchildren to her brothers and sisters, to her nieces and nephews to the children of her nieces and nephews she was present as much as possible for anything she could be. She left lasting in impressions in so many and touched all of our hearts. Virginia also loved travel, adventure and the outdoors. From vacations to weekend adventures to fishing or anything else outdoors.  She spent 43 dedicated years of her life as an educator both as teacher and principal.

         Survivors of Virginia are Merle Miller(husband), Joel (Patricia) Miller (Son & wife), Madison Miller(granddaughter), Preston Miller (Grandson), Sedona Miller (great granddaughter) and Paul Averill(brother), and other relative and friends.  Virginia was preceded in death by Celia Averill, Vincent Averill, Ralph (Carol) Averill, Arlene Hansen (Averill), Kenneth (Linda) Averill, Gerald Averill, Kim Averill and Todd Averill.

Family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday April 24, 2024 from 1-3pm at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home.  Funeral will follow at 3pm at the funeral home.  Interment St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Slinger.  The Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home-Hartford is serving the family.
