Life Legacy


Randal J. Roberts of Clyman passed away Friday December 13, 2013 at University Hospital in Madison at the age of 56 years. He was born April 10, 1957 in Mauston, WI the son of Gale and Doris (nee LaQuee) Roberts.
“Strongest person I know” is how granddaughter Hannah describes her grandfather. Randy will be remembered as a fantastic husband, father and grandfather. He was very community minded and gave of his talent and time to those who needed it. Randy was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying God’s creation on his family farm in Adams County, which he passed on to his children and grandchildren.

Randy served as head usher at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church where he was a long-time member. He married Cindy Krause May 31, 1975 at St. John’s. Randy is Vice President of Clyman Sportsmen’s Club. He was still serving as Clyman’s Village board member, and fireman for Clyman’s Fire Dept. Randy was past Assistant Fire Chief. For 36 years he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a Signal Maintainer.

He is survived by his loving wife Cindy, his loving children, Heather (Jeremy) Cramer of Stevens Point, Elizabeth ( Andrew) Klossner of Fall River and Joseph (Jennifer) Roberts of Clyman, his precious grandchildren Hannah, Bria, Austin Cramer, Maddox Klossner and Calvin Roberts. He is also survived by his parents Gale and Doris Roberts of Clyman, his sister Sherry (John) Haase of Juneau and mother-in-law Carol Krause of Clyman. Also surviving are uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Visitation is Sunday, December 15, from 3-7 PM at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau and Monday from 10-11 AM. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM at church. Rev. Paul Schupmann will officiate. Interment at Juneau City Cemetery.
