Eleanor (Sajdak) Murphy

Eleanor (Sajdak) Murphy, age 95, went into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus, on January 5, 2018 at Clearview in Juneau, WI.  Eleanor was born on March 30, 1922 to Michael and Katherine Sajdak.  She grew up on Brady Street in Milwaukee with her three brothers in their home above their father’s shoe/repair store.  She graduated in 1940 from Messmer High School and went on to do secretarial work.  She enlisted in the Waves during World War II and served in Washington D.C.  On January 13, 1951, she married Joseph Murphy.  After her three children were grown, she worked at Salentine Company for 13 years.

Eleanor loved playing cards, cooking big meals for her family, and most of all, treasured time spent with family and friends.  Eleanor’s strong faith and positive attitude were an inspiration to her family.  Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1979, her brothers, Edward, Stanley, and Michael, and her sisters-in-law, Emmy and Kay.  She is survived by her children Chris (Gene) Thompson, Patty (Jeff) Bartlett , and Dennis (Gaby) Murphy, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Josie Sajdak, and dear friend Elaine (Dave) Konkol and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 10:30 until the time of service at 11:30 at Faith Bible Alliance Church W2799 Lehman Road Neosho, WI. with Pastor Jeremy Thompson officiating.  Burial will be at Wood National Cemetery, Milwaukee, WI.  Memorials to Clearview Remembrance or charity of your choice.
