Gene A. Lepien

Gene A. Lepien of Hartford passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 89 years.  He was born February 7, 1928 in Fond du Lac, the son of Arnold and Lilly (nee Jones) Lepien.  Gene farmed all of his adult life until he retired at the age of 72.  He was a lifetime member of United Brethren and later the First United Methodist Church of Hartford.  He enjoyed traveling around the country, and liked playing cards at Hartford Senior Friends. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Orlean, and his loving son Jack (Charlotte) Lepien, his 4 precious grandchildren Jason (Aaren) and Brian Lepien, Miranda (Matt) Lawrenz, Adrianna (Jimmy Groleau) Lepien, and 8 great grandchildren Jeremy, Chris, Emily, Jesse, Annika Lepien, Skylar and Riley Lawrenz, Payton Groleau, his brother Tom (Doris) Lepien.  Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Saturday, November 25, at First United Methodist Church Hartford 738 W. Monroe Avenue 10:00 a.m.-Noon.   Funeral Service to follow at church at 12:00 noon.  Reverend Stephanie Taylor will officiate.  Internment Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
