Catherine Mary (nee Pruski) Twiford

Catherine Mary Twiford (nee Pruski) of Hartford, entered into Eternal peace at the age of 76 on July 1st, 2021. Catherine was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Cathy was born on June 6th, 1945 to Norbert and Martha Pruski (nee Wilczewski) in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.  Cathy met the love of her life, Larry Twiford, while he was on leave from the Army at a USO dance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  After Larry was severely injured in the VietNam War, Cathy stayed by his bedside and the two were eventually married on 12/07/1968.  Cathy has resided in the cities of Milwaukee, Erin (where they ran the family business, Larry’s Greenhouse) and lastly in Hartford.  During her life, Cathy dedicated her life to her husband, family and the Catholic Church having worked at numerous parishes before her retirement. During her retirement, Cathy also donated her time to the Seeds of Hope Center in West Bend.   She will forever be remembered for her kindness and generosity with family and friends.

Cathy is survived by two children, Jacquelyn Twiford (Special friend Chuck), Steve Twiford (Michelle), three grandchildren, Anna Early (Dan), Alex Gable, Nick Twiford, and 2 brothers, Ken Pruski (Linda), Anthony (special friend Jodi ) Pruski and Rita Pruski (sister-in-law). Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cathy is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Twiford, her mother and father, Martha and Norbert Pruski, her brother, Dennis Pruski.

Visitation is Friday, July 9th, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home, 226 S. Main St., Hartford, WI.  A Prayer Service will follow at 4 p.m. at the Funeral Home.   A Mass of Resurrection will be held at Holy Hill, at St. Mary of the Hill Parish, on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.  Fr. Jude Peters O.C.D. will officiate. Inurnment St. Mary of the Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, live plants are welcomed or donations may be to the Seed of Hope Center in West Bend, Wisconsin.  Special thanks to the Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger, Wisconsin for the special care that was given to Cathy in the last year and a half.
