Catherine "Cathy" Ann (Bahr) Micklitz

Catherine A. Micklitz (nee Bahr), age 86, of West Bend, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend, Wisconsin. Beloved mother of Missy Micklitz, and Kevin (Lorelle) Micklitz. Dear Grandmother of Tiffanie (Shawn) Smith, Danielle (Gerald) Casteel, and Jordan Micklitz. Special great grandma of Lillie, Zaila, and Ayden. Further survived by her sister, Loreen Eckert, many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Cathy will be remembered for her kind heart, family-first lifestyle, always willing to lend a hand, and her adventurous side, yes even into her 80s. And let’s not forget her “cheeseball” and “layered Jello”.

She loved Easter peeps, baking Christmas cookies with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, traveling, crocheting baby blankets, and spending many hours on her Christmas felt kits. She truly had an amazing gift. Her creativity was unsurpassed. She was always working on a new felt project. She loved Christmas and hosting it, but when that became too much she hosted appetizers on Christmas Eve – can’t forget the bacon wrapped water chestnuts! Her favorite places to visit were Mill Bluff State Park, Kevin & Lorelle’s cabin on Three Lakes, and wherever her granddaughter, Danielle, was stationed at. She enjoyed camping, the smell of a campfire, her kitty, Zoey, wildlife/birds, ice cream, and spending time with her family.

With heavy hearts, we invite the family and friends to join us in honoring and celebrating the life of Cathy-beloved Mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, neighbor, camping neighbor, and friend. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Marsh Haven Nature Center, W10145 State Road 49, Waupun, WI 53963
