James S. Giordano

James S. Giordano, 67, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Born to James S. Giordano, Sr. and Santa (Azzolina) Giordano of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Jim lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, craftsmanship, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. Whether through his profession, his friendships, or the countless people he mentored over the years, Jim left an enduring mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

For 47 wonderful years, Jim shared a joyful marriage with the love of his life, Christine (Ormosen) Giordano. Together they built a beautiful family and created countless memories through their love of travel, especially cruising together. Jim found his greatest happiness spending time with his children, grandchildren, and beloved dogs. He also enjoyed boating, car racing, and any opportunity to gather with family and friends.

A master craftsman, Jim was an exceptionally talented journeyman metal fabricator whose knowledge, work ethic, and willingness to teach inspired generations of fabricators. After an outstanding career spanning more than 30 years with GenMet Corporation (formerly Biersach & Niedemeyer and General Metalworks), Jim embraced a new dream by founding Superior Custom Fabricating in Richfield alongside his son, Christopher. Together they built a thriving business founded on the same values Jim carried throughout his life—quality, integrity, dedication, and pride in a job well done.

Jim's greatest legacy, however, was not measured by the work he accomplished but by the lives he touched. He was known for his kindness, quiet strength, sense of humor, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need. He earned the respect of his colleagues, the admiration of his friends, and the love of his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the lessons he taught, the friendships he cultivated, and the memories he created will continue to live on.

Jim is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Christine (Ormosen) Giordano; his children, Nicholas (Amber) Giordano, Amy (Shawn) Hoefler, and Christopher (Karrie) Giordano; his cherished grandchildren; his brothers, Frank (Karen) Giordano and Tony (Bonnie) Giordano; his sister, Maria Giordano; his sister-in-law, Rose Giordano; his father-in-law, Phil (Bonnie) Ormosen; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn (Chris) Otters and Kathy (Kelley) House; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and countless colleagues whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James S. Giordano, Sr. and Santa (Azzolina) Giordano; his mother-in-law, Barbara (Lempel) Ormosen; and his brother, John Giordano.

Jim's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who offered their love, support, and prayers throughout his illness and in the days following his passing.

Visitation is Thursday July 16, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home (226 South Main St). Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Interment at Oakhill Cemetery (Horicon).
