Willie A. Hundt, Jr. of Hustisford, was called to eternal peace with his Heavenly Father on May 15, 2026, at home at the age of 90. Willie was born March 10, 1936, to parents Willie, Sr. and Ranata (Schwantes) Hundt. On November 4, 1961, he married Jane Wittnebel at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashippun.
Willie was a lifetime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford where he was baptized and confirmed. As a member at Bethany, he has served on the Finance Committee and Property Maintenance Committee. He also served on the Planning Commission for the Village of Hustisford. Willie attended Bethany Lutheran Grade School. He graduated from Hustisford High School in 1955. He enlisted in the military August 1955 and was discharged from service in 1957.
Willie loved carpentry. He could always be found working on a project in his garage. He worked for Kettle Moraine Builders in Hartford. Following this employment, he went into business on his own. Willie was a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and auto racing.
Willie is survived by his wife Jane, his son John, significant other Kim Thomas and her family. He is further survived by his brother Viles Hundt and sister-in-law Irene Wittnebel, nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his son Thomas, his parents, parents-in-law Raymond and Lillian Wittnebel, sister-in-law Lavilla, brother and sisters-in-law Virgel and Philene Hundt, Daniel and Grace Hundt, Ardell Hundt, and Verne Hundt, David and Ramona Wittnebel, and Harold Wittnebel, nephews James Hundt, Shawn Hundt, and Russell Wittnebel.
Funeral Services for Willie will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lake Street Hustisford, WI 53034, with Rev. Jonathan Loescher officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. -10:45a.m. Interment in Hustisford Cemetery.
