Only providentially did I find out of Fr. Michael's passing here in Cincinnati from a sweet young Carmelite nun on Sunday, August 14, 2016. When I would take my Milwaukee parents Ann and Stan Berezinski to Holy Hill to visit Fr. Redemptus Short, OCD, we would happily run into Fr. Michael at the reception desk outside the gift shop where he would confer his blessing upon us. I concur with Loretta (on this condolence page ) regarding the great service he did for us by translating St. Teresa of the Andes Spanish publications. Since my husband is Chilean we have had several opportunities to visit her shrine. I feel privileged to have known him and to have received a note from him responding to a card I sent him from St.Teresa's shrine. I am not a third order Carmelite but I do have a great regard for the many Carmelite saints and for those wondrous and holy Carmelite priests I have been blessed to have met. Rest in peace Father Michael and give our love to Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and all the holy souls and saints you now commune with. My condolences to those you have left behind. Lastly, pray for us please Fr. Michael.

Dearest Mary,
I can't thank you enough for taking the time to post on Father Michael's obituary page. It has been so comforting to hear all the amazing stories of the amazing people he served in his life time. Unfortunately, I was never able to visit the beautiful Holy Hill until after his passing, but it truly was a blessing to be at his beautiful service and to meet so many of the people he came into contact with over the last 20 years while being at Holy Hill. Its amazing that you have been able to visit St. Teresa shine in Chile with your husband. I hear its beautiful and maybe one day I too will be able to visit. Take care and God bless you always. In the name of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Amen.

I will always remember our meals together at St. Anne's when you and my dad were table mates. You never got aggravated when he would try to steal your dessert or apple juice. May you rest now in peace with the perpetual light shining upon you. Well done, dear Father Michael!

Dear Peggy,
Thank you so very much for letting me know that your father and Father Michael were table mates at St. Anne's! I am his great niece who lives outside of Philadelphia. My grandmom was Father Mike's only sister. She passed away nine years ago. I would love to hear any stories you would love to share about Father Mike in his last years at St. Anne's. I was only able to talk to him on the phone so I'm sure you have some wonderful memories of him and your father together. I know Father Mike is taking very good care of all of us. He was dear soul. Peace and God bless. Jesus, Mary and Joseph pray for us!

Fr. Michael: I fondly remember our meeting and visit at Holy Hill. The entire English-speaking world thanks you for the superb gift of your translated works on St. Teresa of the Andes: her diary, letters and testimonies as well as many other beautiful writings on St. Joseph and counsels for the OCDS. It is because of your books that I came to love this young Carmelite saint and was privileged to visit her shrine in Chile. I imagine you enjoyed entering Eternity on the Feast of your fellow Carmelite, St. Mary Magdalene de Pazzi, and sharing in the celebrations for her with the Church Triumphant! Requiescat in pace, dear Father, and don't forget your Carmelite sisters and brothers still attempting the ascent of Mt. Carmel.

Dear Loretta,
Thank you so very much for posting a lovely condolence for my great uncle. I am his great niece who lives outside of Philadelphia. He was so very proud of his books and study and St. Joseph and St. Teresa. He was a dear sweet man and an amazing priest to so many as I found out at his services in Holy Hill, WI. He has been laid to rest in the most beautiful, sacred place. Take care and God bless. Jesus, Mary and Joseph pray for us.
